HEADROOM

is the name of a series of project with multi-dimensional, multichannel-controlled artistic sound installations by sound designer and composer Peter Philippe Weiss. In these installations highly authentic sound worlds will be played from invisible loud speakers.

2005 City sound installation, Basel
With 16 sound channels and a sound power of more than 30'000 watts there where composed sound worlds in an exorbitant sound quality and intensity to hear in the center of Basel City.
2006 LICHT FELD 6, Basel
During the ART'06 two sound installations where beeing realized in the LICHT FELD exhibition: A 16 cannel DJ- Soundscape lounge and a 8 channel sound installation behind a closed door.
2006 Bodega CD, Basel
An acoustic portrait of a one-of-a-kind restaurant on Barfüsserplatz in Basel. A portrait, moreover, that captures with original sounds of the Bodega restaurant an authentic and vivid "picture" of the mood of this place.

2008 Stadtklanginstallation 'unterwelten', Osnabrück
By invitation of the university of Osnabrück for the 2. Hörforum: For three days the 'underworlds' where hearable out of the drainers of the Osnabrück market place.
2009 Stadtklanginstallation 'unterwelten', Basel
In co-operation with the Association of Hard Of Hearing Individuals in Basel. Sound worlds are sounding out of the drainers in the center of Basel City.
2009 LICHT FELD 9, Basel
